James Thorbourne Appointed President of IDC

Wayne Gordon, Chair of Inuvialuit Development Corporation (IDC), is pleased to announce the appointment of James Thorbourne as President of the Corporation effective April 1, 2006.

James has held several senior positions within the Inuvialuit Corporate Group and currently serves as President of IEG Energy Services Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Corporation. With over 20 years experience in the environmental and land management industry, he has developed and applied his skills in both the private and public sectors. James has a Bachelor of Science degree from Mount Allison University, a Bachelor of Engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia and a Master of Business Administration from Saint Mary's University.

Created as the business investment arm of Inuvialuit Regional Corporation, Inuvialuit Development Corporation is a management holding company with interests in key businesses servicing Northern Canada in sectors including transportation, oil and gas services, construction, hospitality and property management.
